Colin Bygrave is a painter and printmaker. He and his wife Renée live in Briston, near Holt, in North Norfolk, having moved here in 1986 from Leicester, where he worked as a teacher of art and design. They had a large studio built in the garden of their cottage; since 1995, when he retired from teaching, he has devoted himself mainly to printmaking. The studio is fully equipped for etching and includes a beautiful Hunter Penrose No 8 press.
